Baguette Bites, Three Ways! Thanksgiving Edition featuring our Bread Candle.

Thanksgiving season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate and embrace this season than with a Bread Candle? We have three yummy baguette bite ingredients perfect for Thanksgiving day appetizers; all three incredibly easy and fast to make, and pairs perfectly with our Bread Candle! The Bread Candle was created to bring people together and create a sense of home and community.

  1. Fluffy Omelette Toast

Ingredients: 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon crème fraîche, grated cheese of your choice, chives, 2-3 slices of baguette.
Directions: whisk eggs, crème fraîche, grated cheese, and chives. Heat a cooking pan, and cook egg mixture until eggs are fully cooked. Pile over baguette toast.

2. Tomato Basil Bruschetta

Ingredients: Tomatoes, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil leaves, sea salt, and ground black pepper.
Directions: Mix diced tomatoes with sea salt, let sit for 10 minutes, and drain the excess liquid. Add chopped basil and olive oil into diced tomato sea salt mixture. Pre-heat oven for 450 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven is pre-heating slice 20-24 baguette pieces and cover each side with olive oil. Bake the baguette slices for 6-9 minutes. Top baked baguette with the tomato basil mixture, and drizzle balsamic vinegar.

3. French Toast

Ingredients: Baguette, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, nutmeg or cinnamon, sugar, and butter, with maple syrup.
Directions: Whisk milk, salt, eggs, cinnamon or nutmeg, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Soak bread slices in mixture. Cook bread on each side for a couple of minutes, until golden brown. Serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar.
